School Day Information

Please thoroughly consult these pages prior to phoning our bus enquiry line, as this will help us to deal with your enquiry quickly. Thank you.

Finglands do not operate school/college only services. All services (including those passing schools and colleges) are available to all members of the public. Our buses will observe all bus stops en route. For times and routes please see our timetable search.

Smart Cards

School children who travel to school on Finglands buses can get a pre-paid 'Smart Card' to use for their journeys. This is a pre-payment card which can be topped up like a mobile phone top-up card. This card means children do not have to carry cash to pay for bus fares.

Each time a journey is made the customer places the card on the ticket machine and the fare for the journey is automatically deducted from the card. The ticket machine issues the customer a travel ticket which shows the remaining value on the card. When funds are getting low the customer can top up the card on the bus by paying the driver (minimum top-up £5) and a receipt is issued from the ticket machine.

If the card is lost or stolen you need to inform us as soon as possible at which point the card will be locked out and a replacement card will be issued with the remaining credit less a small administration fee.
